LAWN CARE SERVICES
Residential and Commercial
In a spring cleanup we remove any leaves that may have blown in from the neighbor's yard or hung onto the trees during the winter. We also clean up sticks that fell with the winter winds and gravel that ended up in the yard from the snow plow. Lastly, we dethatch and bag the whole yard to make sure it's ready for the summer to come.
Spring Cleanup
All of our lawn mowing services include trimming. As an added bonus, we will also blow off concrete, tar, patios and decks to keep your outdoor spaces clean and inviting.
Mowing
At Greener Pastures we cut grass, not corners; that's why trimming is included with all of our mowing services. With Greener Pastures, your lawn will always look professional.
Trimming
In a fall cleanup, we remove all the leaves from your yard and blow them out of all the nooks and crannies. In addition, your lawn will receive a final cut for the year before winter sets in. When you hire us to do your cleanup, it will be like fall never even happened.
Fall Cleanup
Nothing but the best: we use the best equipment in the industry, including our commercial-grade leaf blowers. When we're done, your property will look spotless.
Blowing
Dethatching is typically done as part of a spring cleanup. The purpose of it is to dislodge any leaves or dead grass "thatch." As a result, your lawn will receive more direct sunlight and have more breathing room to grow. Think of it like a rake, only better.

OUR GUIDE TO YOUR BEST-LOOKING LAWN
01
April/May
Once the snow is finally gone in late April/early May, it's time for a spring cleanup. Time is of the essence because dethatching is most effective before the grass reaches mowing height. After the cleanup is the ideal time for preemergent crab grass preventer. Regular mowing begins in May. Late May can also be a good time for weed control and aerating/overseeding/fertilizing.
02
June
In addition to regular mowing, early to mid June would also be an acceptable time for weed control and to aerate/overseed/fertilize. The grass will start to creep over where it doesn't belong, so by the end of the month you'll likely need to do some edging around your driveway and sidewalk.
03
July/August
Other than routine mowing, sit back, relax and enjoy your thriving lawn during those summer barbeques. Avoid weed control and/or fertilizer during these months: these hot, mid-summer days can be stressful for your lawn and applying herbicide and/or fertilizer may damage it.
04
September
Try to hit those weeds one more time between late August and late September. September is also the time for fall fertilizer and, if you didn't do it in the spring, aerating/overseeding.
05
October
Continue mowing until around the middle of the month. We recommend switching to mulching blades to help chop up the leaves. By the end of October, cleanups begin.
06
November
The weather's getting colder and cleanups are in full swing. It's time to get those leaves picked up before the snow flies!
